THAMES GIRLS' CLUB.
The {Thames Girls' Club held its monthly reunion this week at the Druids' Hall, North" Street, Newton. An enjoyable programme of musical numbers was rendered oy Mrs. McKinstry and Jack Thorburn (pianoforte duets), Bonnie Stubbing (songs), Hineroa Stewart (Maori songs, with guitar accompaniment), Miss Morgan (songs and music, her own composition), Bonnie Stubbing and Hineroa Stewart (vocal duets) Prizes were won by Mrs. R. Benjamin, Mrs. J. Hubber, Mr. Plant and Jack Thorburn.
Committee members present were: Mesdames Thorburn (treasurer), Stubbing (convener), Miller (secretary), Davison, Andrews,, Wright, Benjamin, McPherson, Nicholis, Miss Rowlings. During the evening the president, who received the guests, made feeling reference to the late Mrs. G. R. Hutchinson, a" vice-patroness.. Mrs. Bowyer, vicepresident, was also in attendance.
