ATHENAEUM CUP DEBATES.
In the A section of the Athenaeum Cup debates for 1936 Technical College Accountancy Students' Debating Club team met the Training College team to discuss the .subject, "That the solution of economic problems lies in national rather than in international action."' A particularly good effort was made by the Technical College team, who took the affirmative and who gained 50 points more than their opponents. Mr. Doric C. Algie, of the Auckland University College, acted as adjudicator.
