NEW WORK FOUND ? ISTANBUL, jf Since he retired, Mr. Haydar Vaner, a former Governor-General in the Turkish Civil Service, has devoted all his time to research work 011 Omar Khayyam, and lias discovered a pamphlet bearing the title of "El Vujut" ("The Existence"), which he believes to be Khayyam's $vork. The text is both in Arabic and Persian. Incidentally, the question is now being raised as to whether Omar Khayyam was a Persian or a Turk.
