HAMILTON FUNCTION.
(Ry Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, tliis day. Mr. L. H. Pettit, wlio lias been auctioneer of the Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, for six yeai'B and lias been associated with the local branch for ten years, and who leaves to take up a position at Wairarapa, and Mr. T>. H. Stewart, who has been promoted to the position of produce salesman at the Auckland branch, were farewelled and given presentations at a gathering yesterday of the Hamilton start' of the firm. There was a large gathering of representatives of auction--coring and exporting firms last night at a farewell function to Mr. Pettit.
