YOUNG FARMERS' CLUB.

FOSTERIXG HOME PROJECTS.

Members of the Auckland Ypung Farmers' Club were congratulated - By the chairman, Mr. J. Clark, at the annua! meeting of the club-held in the Otahuhu Technical High School last evening. The past year has been one of steady (progress in the activities undertaken, although there was room for expansion in' preseiit enterprises and .:" also ' development.: of activities amohg; the young'farmers of the district. . . The chairman said that while the pre: Bent organisation was operating among present and past pupils of the Otahulm Technical High School, it was intended to embrace all young men between the ages of 18 and;2s years who were interested in or carrying out rural pursuits. It was hoped to arrange for a meeting of "young farmers at the school in the near future so that the present organisation could extend its activities. The home project system had received very active support from the pupils of the school as was evidenced last November at the annual horticultural show, when 750 exhibits of flowers and vegetables were, staged. The flowers and produce grown in tjie school grounds were exhibited in Auckland with soma success!

Mr. P. W. Martin, principal of the Otahuhu Technical High Schropl; said, that the club was-iuterestQfl in all- young men who were undertaking rural-pursuits, and he believed the club could assist them considerably; i: .-

Dr. V. S. Hill urged the niembers to make full use of the free-of-interest loans available for club members to develop their home projects. Money was avail? able for the purchase of the best plants and live stock.
