SEVERE HEAD INJURIES.
WOMAN STRUCK BY TRUCK. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday. Suffering from severe head injuries as the result of being struck by a motor truck on the Main South Road at Hornby this evening, Mrs. Davis, aged 08, of Hornby, is in the Christchurch Hospital in a serious condition. Mrs. Davis was walking on the road arm-in-arm with another woman when the motor truck, which was driven by Mr. Albert Hopkins, of Tinwald, overtook her and struck her from behind. She was thrown clear, but fell heavily.
