; LEADERS TO' MEET. GRAMMAR 0.8. V. FAFATOETOE ; SPARKLING DISPLAY EXPECTED. L To-morrow the sixth series of matches in the senior grade championship conducted by the Auckland Hockey Association will bo dccided. Great interest will ■ centre in the meeting of the two leading ' teams, Grammar Old Boys and Papatoe- . toe, at Remuera, as a win for the latter will , make them even in championship points with their opponents, who are the leaders. " Both sides 1 ive a dashing forward line, [ while their defence is also sound, therefore ! the match should prove a ding-dong go from the first bully to the final whistle. The curtain-raiser on the same ground at 1.45 p.m. will be between University and Training College, and although the former is the likely winner, an interesting | game should result. _ For those journeying out to Papatoetoe ' the principal game will bo the meeting ' of Somerville and Mount Eden on No. 1 . ground. Somerville will probably have to . alter their tactics to cope with the rugged, ■ hard-hitting efforts of their opponents. On the adjoining ground, No. 2, St. Luke's should be able to cope with ' Y.M.C.A., although the latter have put . up some stubborn fights in their previous matches this season. As the final selection of the team to go on tour with the shield is likely to be announced after Saturday's matches, great interest will be taken in the displays given by those chosen last week to go into i training, and their efforts will be carefully - watched by the sideline critics.
