Currie (South Canterbury), W. A. Dee (Nelson) and H. B. Oakey (Christchurch). SUNDAY PLAY BANNED. DECISION BY WHITIORA CLUB. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. A motion directed at establishing Sunday play was defeated by a substantial majority at tile 'annual meeting of the Whitiora Bowling Club last night. The president, Mr. D. G. Andrews, presided. The report stated that the breaking of a long association with the croquet club was a feature of the year's activities. Reference was made to grounds ments and the membership, which was slightly weaker. The election of officers resulted:— Patron, Mr. W. F. Mason; president, Mr. F. W. Woodhall; vice-president, Mr. A. Downes; secretary, Mr. A. S. Cliffe; treasurer, Mr. D. G. Cook; executive, Messrs. B. Elliott, A. P. Nelson, D. C. Street; selectors, Messrs. J. N. Irvine, A. S. Cliffe, B. Elliott; auditor, Mr. B. c! Lowry; centre delegates, Messrs. Elliott and Woodhall; delegates to bowling committee, Messrs. Elliott and Dowries.
