CHAMPIONS TO MEET. TECHNICAL 0.8. V. PONSONBY. UNIVERSITY PLAYS TRAINING COLLEGE. To-morrow at Eden Park Technical Old Boys, holders of the Auckland Rugby Union's Gallaher Shield, will play Ponsonby in the seventh series of matches in the first round of the major competition. The curtain-raiser will be provided by University and Training College. The contestants in the remaining senior fixture at headquarters are College Rifles and Grafton. Manukau makes another trip to Sturges Park, to engage Otahuhu, while the other game arranged to be played in the suburbs is between North Shore and Grammar Schools' Old Coys, at Devonport. The second division engagements are: Suburbs v. Parnell, at Western Springs, 3 p.m.; Marist v. Takapuna, at Victoria Park, No. 1, 3 pjm.; University v.
