Mr. R. G. Sellar will leave with Mrs. Sellar bv the Mariposa this evening for a month's holiday in Australia. Mr. F. W. Doidge, accompanied by Mrs Doidge, will be a passenger by train for Wellington this evening. Mr. C. M. Croft, Canadian Trade Commissioner, returned to Auckland by the Limited express this morning from the South. Mr. T. U. Wells, chairman of the Auckland Education Board, returned from the South by the early express this morning. Mr. T. 0. Bishop, of Wellington, general secretary of the Xew Zealand Employers' Federation, will return to the South by the Limited express this evening. The Rev. Father .T. M. Oreve, S.M., is on his way to Sydney after spending 2!) years in the Fiji group and the past 17 years at Suva. Ha arrived by the Mariposa to-day. Mr. ,T. J. Rvbiirn, of Ngahinapourt, who has been it member of the board for 24 years and chairman for six years, has been re-elected chairman of the Waikato Hospital Board. Dr. .T. S. Elliott has been re-elected president and Sir Louis Barnett and Sir Hugh Adand vice-presidents of the New Zealand branch of the British Empire Cancer Campaign Society. Mr. G. IT. Saunders, of New Plymouth, managing director of Taranaki Amusements, Ltd., will leave by the Mariposa to-day for Sydney. He is going on a holiday to North Queensland. Mr. A. M. Seaman left Auckland hy the Limited express last evening for Wellington to attend a meeting of the council of the Accountants' Society. He expects to return on Saturday morning. Mr. Sinclair Reid was yesterday appointed to the executive committee of the Auckland Provincial Patriotic and War Relief Association. The vacancy was caused by the death of Mr. A. J. Entrican. Air. H. W. Whvte, secretary to the general manager (Sir James Grose) of the National Bank of New Zealand, left Wellington for London by the Remuera last Tuesday. He will be attached to the head ollicc of the National Bank of New Zealand ill London.

Mr. F. J. Kemba-1, manager of the He Luxe Theatre, Wellington, will leave Auckland for Sydney by the Mariposa to-niglit. During the month he will be absent Mr. Alex. Grant, well known in the world of entertainment throughout New Zealand, will act as manager.

The Rev. ,L. H. Hunt, who was minister of the Mount Eden Presbyterian Church from 1920 to 1932, has resigned the charge of the Karori Church, Wellington, through ill-health. Mr. Hunt expects to resume ministerial duties after a break of 12 months.

The Hons. T. Bloodworth, B. Martiff, F. E. Lark, and E. R. Davis, M.L.C.'s, and Messrs. W. T. Aiiderton, W. P. Endean, C. R. Peti'ie, A. F. Moncur, W. J. Lyon, A. C. A. Sexton and J. Thorn, M.P.'s, arrived from the South by the Limited express this morning.

The Rev. C. F. Andrews, the wcllknown religious writer and authority oil Indian social matters, who returned recently from ail inspection visit to Fiji, gave his views on the relations between New Zealand and Fiji to Cabinet members at Wellington this week. He is at present conducting a mission to students at Otago University.
