Notice is hereby given that It is the. intention of the Mount Albert Borough Council, at a meeting to be held on TUESDAY, 30th June, 1036, nt 7.30 p.m., in the Council Chambers, 539, New North Road. Mount Albert, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by tho Municipal Co. :orations Act, 1933. the Rating Act. 1925, and all or any other enactments it thereto enabling, to make and levy the following Rates, vi*. :-■ — A Consolidated Rate of Fourpence (4d) in the £ on the Capital Value of all rateable properties appearing in the Valuation Roll for tho Borough of Mount Albert, such rate including a Lighting Rate of 31200ths pence in the £, u Hospital and Charitable Aid Kate of 7-25th8 pence in tho H, an Auckland and Suburban Drainage Board Rate of l-stli pence 111 the £, a War Memorial Museum Kate of 17-100ths pence in the £, an Auckland . Metropolitan Fire Board Rate of 7-100ths penco in the £. a General Rate of 71-200ths pence in the £, and Special Rates of 2 and 359-400ths pence in the £. A CONSUMERS' WATER RATE, on the following basis upon all lands and dwelling houses to which water is supplied otherwise than per meter: Where the Annual Value does not exceed £12 10/, Ten Shillings per annum. Where the Annual Value exceeds £12 10/: Seven per centum of so much , of such value as does not exceed £100 (One ' Hundred Pounds). Six per centum of so much of such value as exceeds One Hundred Pounds, but does not exceed Two Hundred Pounds. Five per centum of so much of such value as exceeds Two Hundred Pounds, but docs not exceed Three Hundred Pounds. Four per centum of so much of such value as exceeds Three Hundred Pounds. But in no such case shall the Rate be less than Ten Shillings. A NON-CONSUMERS' WATER RATE, in respect of lands and buildings to which water can be, but is not .supplied, situated within One Hundred Yards from any part of the Borough Water Works, Onehalf of the foregoing amounts. A UNIFORM SANITATION RATE (in connection with the removal of Nightsoil only), at the rate of One Pound per annum in respect of every privy (not being connected with the sewer) within tho "Borough of Mount Albert, from which the Council is prepared to remove nightsoil. • REBATE ON RATES. In accordance with tho provisions of Section 64 of the Rating Act, l!'2r>, a Rebate of £2 10/ per centum will be allowed to every Ratepayer on the amount of Current Rates payable by him, if such rates are paid within Thirty (30) days from the due date thereof, subject to all arrears being paid. . Each of the foregoing rates and charges to be for the year commenced April 1, 193t>, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1937, and to be payable in one sum on the lith day of July, 1936, at the Office of the Council, 539, New North Road, Mount Albert. , The Estimates upon which the above General Rate is based having been approved by the Council, can be inspected, together with the Valuation Roll, at the Council Office during office hours.
