A WONDERFUL ANIMAL.
The elephant can stand on either its fore feet or its hind foot. It can stand on the two feet either side. It is so strong that it can stand mi its head: A big elephant measures -10ft high at tk. , shoulders, and weighs six to eev.i tons. Yet, in spite of its mountain or flesh, it can walk quite noiselessly. And though it can neither trot, canter nor gallop, it can shuffle along at 15 milos an hour. V- '
