A Jolly Elephant.
MAKE IT WITH CREPE PAPER.
You will require one sheet of brown crepe paper to model the body, head and trunk, arid one sheet for the legs, tail and ears of this jolly elephant, which would make a splendid present for your little brother or sister. Take one sheet of paper and gather one side as shown in illustration 1; next gather up the other side (illustration 2); bind one end with black thread to the distance of four inches to form the trunk. Now fold the remainder of the strip into four layers, beginning with the free end of the paper, folding over and over three times. Bind the thread round the folds next to the trunk to form the head.
