QUESTION OF A UNION.
There was a good muster of insurance clerks at the Chamber of Commerce rooms when a meeting was held for the purpose of discussing the effect that the formation of a clerks' union in Wellington is likely to have on clerks in Auckland. An outline was given to those present as to the trend of the new industrial lesislation, but in view of the lack of definite information concerning the position it was agreed to make further inquiries before convening a further meeting. No decision, it is stated, was reached as to the formation of a union.
