INFURIATED ALSATIAN.

HOUSEHOLD TERRORISED. (By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) NAPJER, this day. An infuriated Alsatian dog terrorised an entire Napier household before it was killed with an axe by a man who had been called to give assistance. The occupants of the house were threatened by the dog for over half an houss After menacing several persons in turn the animal savagely attacked a young man who attempted to capture it, severely mauling his hands before he could break free. Help came with the arrival of a neighbour, Mr. 33. T. Sinclair, but his appearance only infuriated the dog even more, and the animal^ bared its fangs and charged him. Mr. Sinclair dived ' for safety and the dog, after racing twice round the house, collapsed on tSie ground, apparently in a fit. SirSinclair then found an axe and killed it. The young man whom the dog attacked had to be treated at the Napier Hospital, where his wounds were dreseed and hs was given an anti-tetanus-injection.
