YOUTH'S FATAL SLIP.
DISCHARGE OF SHOTGUN. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Sunday. Patrick Dempsey, aged 19 years, of Burke Street, was fatally injured when shooting in the Rakaia River bed today. His gun accidentally discharged when lie slipped while climbing a steep bank. Two companions carried liim three miles to the nearest habitation, but Dempsey died before they reached ths house. The deceased was employed at Green's bacon factory; of which liis father is manager.
