GOLDEN CROWN. The managing director. Jfr. A. A. Adams, returned from the Golden Crown mine yesterday, and reports the results of a crushing of one ton of selected ore from the rise nbove No. 4 level. The result was as follows: Saved by amalgamation, £94 13/; assay value of tailings, £G 9/2; value of ore, £101 4/2 per ton. This return shows an extraction by amalgamation of 93.G per cent. Jtr. Adams states: —"This discovery at No. 4 level was made in July, 1935, and a one ton parcel of ore was crushed at the Thames .School of Jlines, showing a value of £31 15/4. This rise is now up a distance of 47ft, the ore has been changing for some time past, the silver sulphides have been cutting out, and the ore has been showing coarse heavy gold. There Is now 50 tons of general ore In the batterv, and a start will be made to crush this 'ore in the next fo\y days." CLUTHA DREDGING. Registration was effected last week In Christchurch of the new flotation of the Austral Jlaluy Tin Company, Limited, for its New Zealand mining interests. It is cne of the most important registrations of recent years, the capital of the now company being £G05,000. The company has acquired a largo dredging area in the Cluthit River and designs are being prepared for an IS cubic feet bucket dredge to work the area. No other dredge in New Zealand will have such a capacity. The company has also six keystone drills prospecting in various parts of New Zealand. The prospectus of the new company lias not yet been issued, but is expected a't the end of June or early in July. Jlr. F. G Dunn (Christchurch) is the only New Zealand director. YIELDS OF COMPANIES.
