OTAHUHU CALEDONIANS.
The Otahulm Caledonian Society's Ingleside in the Public Hall 011 Satur day evening attracted a good attendance and a fine programme was submitted.
To enable the younger members to gain a knowledge of the old Scottish dances a number were staged prior to the opening of the programme and much enthusiasm was displayed in the dancing. Musical and vocal items were contributed by Mrs. Henderson (Auckland), Miss M. Smith (St. Heliers), and Misses H. Trundle and H. McLaclilan. National and character dances were given by Betty Jeffries, Mary College, and Peggy McAnulty. A short sketch entitled "Memori'es of Home," in which the principal parts wore taken by Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Pirio, was well staged. This included a number of Scottish songs and character dances, Piper R. A. Archibald contributing a piping selection. Mrs. Clark and Mrs. MarkWtck acted as accompanist and Mrs. Moore played the -lance music.
