AUCKLAND CONTROL BOARD.

FIXTURE WITH WELLINGTON. KING'S BIRTHDAY ATTRACTION. The control. board of the Auckland Rugby League last evening, Mr. G. Grey Campbell presiding, received a telegram from the Wellington Rugby League seeking a fixture on June 23, and it was decided to rescind the previous resolution providing for an A and B trial and substitute a match between Auckland and Wellington. The other attraction on the King's Birthday programme will be Auckland versus the Auckland Maori representative team. i " The board also discussed in committee a plan - for the selection and training of the Auckland team to meet England on July 25. A motion of condolence was passed in the usual manner to Mr. L. Rout, secretary of the schools' committee, in the loss of his father. Dealing with the junior board report upon the Waiuku-Papakura senior B match, in which the game was awarded to Papakura, who lost 7—(5, the chairman expressed the opinion that in such a protest the constitution gave power either to uphold the protest or order a replay. The circumstances should be taken into consideration and he did not think it was in the spirit of the law that a team should lose championship points on a technicality. Mr. D. Wilkie was asked to consider the matter further and report, and it was also resolved to *point out to Manukau Club that its action in depriving Waiuku on Saturday of the services of a player not transferred, was contrary to requirements. The Referees* Association, in reporting its intention to call off games where officials or coaches entered the field of play, intimated that a coach who offended at Point Chevalier was to be dealt with. It was also reported that in the same match a player certified unfit by an ambulance officer had been persuaded with difficulty to leave the field and subsequently suffered from concussion. In response to a junior club application it was decided that it was against the policy of the board to permit Carlaw Park patrons to be harassed by ticket sellers. Registrations: A. C. Miller (Grey Lynn) to Mount Albert senior reserves; J. A. Mackinnon (Grey Lynn) to Newton Rangers; F. McR. Murray (ex-Zingari-Richmond Union Club, Dunedin); P. Mahima, Waiuku to Manukau. Clearances: Von Lubbe from Pirates, Greymouth, to Auckland, regrading being approved; G. Newton, from Glen Ora to I'etone, Wellington; E. Raisbeck, Northland to Auckland. The applications were referred to the council for approval. Reinstatement: J. J. Shepherd, ex-Hutt Union Club, Wellington, with .clearance from City Rovers to Richmond, subject to council approval.
