INDOOR BOWLING.
A.U.F.S. ASSOCIATION. Section play in the open fours tourney under the auspices of the Auckland Friendly Societies' Indoor Bowling Association was finalised at the Ponsonby Drill Hall on Saturday afternoon. Three teams qualified for post-section play on the twolife system—Grey Lynn Returned Soldiers' Association (Devey, Madigan, Heap, Sutton), Grey Lynn Indoor Association (last year's winner, Owen, Mrs. Mickelborough, Wakefield, Beer), United Brothers' Lodge, N.1.0.0.F. (Mrs. Dilly, D.. Hammond, Moulden, Fletcher). The performance_ of the Grey Lynn R.S.A. was meritorious, as this was their first appearance in a tourney. They defeated some of Auckland's leading teams, including Mount Albert, which has several championships to its credit. The next tourney will be the champion pairs, to be held at Ponsonby Drill Hall on June 13 and 20. The first of a series of open fours night tourneys will be staged at the Druids' Hall on Thursday, June 18. Results on Saturday : — SECTION A. Round Six.—"Auckland Star" (Byrnes) 10. v.
