LURICH BEATS CLARKE. BRITISH EMPIRE TITLE BOUT. SYDNEY, May 31. A wrestling bout for the British Empire championship held at the Leichliardt Stadium resulted in a win for Tom Lurich over Douglas Clarke (England) by two falls to one. Lurich secured a fall in the third round from a reverse headlock and a body-press. Clarke made the falls even in the fifth round from a body-press, and Lurich took the deciding fall in the sixth round with a body-press. DRAW IN TAR AN AKL (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Sunday. A skilful and exciting wrestling bout between Forsgren and Woods held last evening resulted in a draw, each man securing one fall. Woods gained the first fall in the fifth round with a heavy dump. Forsgren evened with a Boston crab. BOESCH BEATS BLOMFIELD. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Sunday. With the only fall of the . bout,. Paul Boesch defeated "Lofty" Blomfield in a professional contest held last night before one of the largest crowds to witness a wrestling match in Dunedin. Boesch's fall was a sensational one. As soon as the first, round commenced, he shot from Ins corner | and launched three lightning drop-kicks. ! all of which connected. He then brought Blomfield over with an armbar and pinned him with a hodypress, all witliiu less than half a minute. ' .
