I riy. bas been arranged' for International Womeii's Week, which, will .be held in Budapest early'in'-July.- - The week will hot be in the nature of a congress or sight-Seeing Hour, but an inexpensive hospitable' reception on the part of all Hungarian women to all the women of the world. Prominent women from all over the world, have been invited to attend; and New Zealand will be represented; by Dr. Elizabeth Bryson, of Wellington, who sailed by the Niagara yesterday. The object of this international j gathering is to foster women's international understanding as a potent influence towards world peace, to promote . friendship between Hungarian women and women from other countries and to show the guests the characteristics .of Hungarian life and folk lore. The most prominent Hungarian women will be hostesses' and those attending will enjoy the privacy of Hungarian life. Among the activities arranged for the week are visits, to' the Royal Palace, 1 Parliament House, the Opera House and ' picture galleries of Hungarian masters, social I institutions .ißiich as clinics, an ' evening tour on the Danube by steamer, • a tour, on Lake Balaton by motor boat, an evening "Budapest by night," featur- : ing gipsy miisic, and visits to night ■ clubs and cafes, and the opening of the, ■ "Hiros Hei," a famous week When Hun- ' garian-natiojlal costumies, dances and the . picturesque country 'life are shown < at ' tieir bast-. The programme will also 1 include an after-dinner reception, a tea offered by the municipality of Budapest 1 and lunches in private homes. Many of ■ the participants will later proceed to the ' conference Of the International Federa--1 tion of University Women to be held in : Cracow in August.
