In the work of improving the Parapara Road there are now 141 men engaged, which is the maximum number that can be employed under the present conditions. All the work is being carried out on the co-operative contract basis, and both married and single men arc engaged. The work on the road is of considerable magnitude, and includes widening and the elimination of all dangerous bends.
