LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
JUNIOR MANAGEMENT BUSINESS. In the absence of Mr. D. Wilkie, Mr. E. Chapman presided at the meeting of the Auckland Rugby- League junior management committee last evening. A letter from Tuakau asking for an Auckland referee to control the match between Te Kohanga and Manaia on Saturday was referred to the Control Board. The Auckland League's notification stating that the non-replacement rule would operate from next Saturday, was received. It - was pointed out that two referees had enforced the rule last weekend. The claim of Ofcahuhu for transfer fees in respect of R. Halsey and M. Hucker (to Mount Albert), R. Philp and G. Whye (to Manukau) and K. Finlayson (to Marist) were referred to the senior board. The fee regarding Whye was questioned. - It was reported that there had been 06 new player registrations to various grades during the past ten days. The weight of two City third grade players being found in order, the protest of Point Cljevalier was dismissed and the fee refunded. Several players were dealt with for misdemeanour on the field. A number of accident insurance applications were referred to the A.R.L. Regrades.—G. Clendon, Mount Albert senior to second grade; L. Rogers, Ponsonby seniors to Glen Ora seconds; J. Kelly, ex Ellerslie to Otabuhu thirds; W. McLean, City reserves to Point Chevalier senior B. . Transfers. —W. E. Robinson (South Auckland Rugby Union rep.), Green Lane to Marists; L. Gardner, Richmond seconds to Mount Albert senior reserve (subject to senior board approval); G. Matson, Otaliuhu senior B to Marists; J. H. Pearce, Manukau thirds, and W. Gregory, City Rovers to Newton; W. Oughton, Newton fourths to Ponsonby; P.Kennedy, 3'oinfc Chevalier to Richmond; Paul Brennan, Marists sixths to Green Lane thirds; Nelson Marshall, City sevenths to Richmond sixths, and A. Taylor, Ellerslie to City sixths. The Waiuku Club advised the transfer of C. Moss from Tuakau and of the registrations of M. Pell, W. Blacklaws and J. Weti.
