SECOND SERIES OF MATCHES. THREE AT REMUERA. GRAMMAR OLD BOYS MEET 'VARSITY. For to-morrow the Auckland Hockey Association has set down for decision the second series of championship matches. After last week's games the players should be settling down in their positions, and better and brighter displays should be the order of the day. At Remuera the big game will be on No. 1 ground, between Grammar Old, Boys and University, at 3.5 p.m. This should be fast and exciting, as both teams are capable of giving dashing displays. On No. 2 ground at the same time St. Luke's play Mount Eden. Although last year's bracketed champions (with Grammar) had a runaway last week they will probably find stiffer opposition to-morrow, and the Edenites should give them a fairly close go. The curtain-raiser on No. 1 ground at 1.45 p.m., is between Somerville and Training College, and although College will ■probably be forced to field one or two juniors on account of the vacation, nevertheless Somerville will have to play hard for a win. At Papatoetoe the local eleven will try conclusions with Y.M.C.A. at 2.30 p.m. This should prove an exciting tussle from start to finish. Teams selected:— MOUNT EDEN. Seniors.—Tangve.
