HOLLYWOOD RADIO STUDIOS.—The new N.B.C. Hollywood radio studios, built at a cost of £ 100,000, are situated in romantic surroundings. All the studios are fire and earthquake proof and represent the last word in broadcasting technique.
THE VOICE OF ROME. — The broadcasting station in the Vatican City, Rome. The Pope often broadcasts throughout the World and the station is particularly well received by short-wave listeners- in New Zealand.
SLUM CLEARANCE ON A GRAND SCALE. —Manchester is clearing away her slums in a very determined manner. A general view of the scene of the slum clearance at Hulme, where acres of slum houses have been demolished. The area, which is to be rebuilt, has the appearance of a battlefield in the centre of this great city.
