WINTER APPEAL.

Tlie cold, winter is now upon us, and the need of blankets, firing, shoes . and warm clothing is still very acute. Months have passed by, and apart from the Christmas bonus received and appreciated by each needy person, nothing more has been done. A measure ot help is promised for June, which will he snial in comparison to the need of mothers ana children who are without shoes and warm iiinderwear. The sick return from hospital to their home; and recovery is retarded by the lack of warmth and nourishment. We would place before your readers the needs of our aged. Room rents have increased. The dear old folk require winter comforts. -4' so mothers with their wee babies, and tiny tot» with their little cold feet. All arc in need ot warm clothing, underwear and sleeping gaj'* ments. These mothers have insufficient ing to keep their infants warm; no tiling wi«* which to dry their garments.
