"CAPPING" NIGHT.

DEGREES CONFERRED. TOWN HALL TO-MORROW. UNIVERSITY GIVES HONOUR. Auckland University College students who completed degrees or diplomas in last year's examinations are to have those successes conferred at the annual "capping"' ceremony to be held tomorrow night at the Town Hall. A total of 100 graduands will leave the hall with letters aTter their name. The ceremony caps the college year, and is one of the most dignified of any sort seen in the city. First there will he the procession of graduands—graduates about to be capped—into the hall. Then there is the procession of convocation. and. lastly, the official procession. The college song, "Gaudeamus," will be sung. A short address will then be given by the president, Mr. T. U. Wells, after which decrees will be conferred by Mr. Wells, acting for the Chancellor of the University of New Zealand. After that two more addresses will be given, one by Professor P. W. Burbidge, chairman of the Professorial Board, and one by Mr. .T. D. Lewis, president of the college Students' Association. The ceremony will close about 10 p.m., when the graduation bal' will begin in the college hall. Graduates and diploma holders are: — FACULTY OF ARTS.
