ON 'CHANGE.

BUSINESS KEEPS UP. INDUSTRIALS SELLING. Business on the Auckland Stock Exchange has been well maintained since last report. Yesterday afternoon's call produced a big list of sales, and a fair number was added at this morning's call. Values generally have been well maintained, and demand seems to go chiefly for fixed term securities and industrials. At this morning's call there was a moderate inquiry for banks and insurances. but 110 actual business was recorded. Amongst Australian securities Woolworths again presented a linn front, and after business at £8 7/ there were still buyers in at that figure, with sellers retiring to £S 10/. Woolworths (N.Z.) were also firm and sold at £6 2/6, with more wanted. Government stocks were in keen request, but the only lot 011 offer was a parcel of Mo'"s at £102 10/. Woolworths Rise Further. A rise of 3/ in Woolworths (Sydney), carrying the price to £8 10/, a new peak, and 10/ higher than that ruling at the beginning of the week, was the feature of the noon call. There were still buyers at the new price, but no further sellers. Bank of New Zealands showed a stronger tendency, with buyers in at the recent ruling rate. Commercial Banks appeared slightly weaker, buyers dropping out and holders reducing their limits by a penny. Considerable interest was shown in Kauri Timbers, for which buyers slipped up their limits to £1 3/7, attracting sellers at £1 3/10. The miscellaneous industrials were noticeably quieter, except for Farmers' Trading, which continued to do business at current values, and Woolworths (N.Z.), which advanced, apparently in sympathy with the scrip of the parent company, and reached £6 5/. Closing limits were a shilling either way. Wilsons Cement were easier, latest holders' quotes being £2 6/. SALES COMPLETED.
