PUBLIC BEQUESTS.
THREE RECENT WILLS. Bequests to churches and philanthropic institutions are contained hi three wills in respect of which prohate was granted yesterday in the Supreme Court. The residue of the estate of the late Mrs. Sarah Jane Vealo is divided into three equal parts. One part is to go to the Methodist Orphanage at Mount Albert, one to thp Methodist Orphanage at Epsom and the other part to the Wesleyan Aged Ministers' Fund. The value of the estate is under £5000 and specific legacies account for £3700.
A share of the estate of the late Mr. Walter William Carpenter, farmer, of Papakura, is left to Dr. Barnado's Homes. The estate is valued at under £12,000.
An 'estate valued at under £3000 was left by the late Mr. Alexander Hastings, retired baker. His will directed that one-seventh of the estate is to be paid to the trustees of the St. Andrew's Church, Symonrls Str-"*
