DAISY CHAIN CLUB.
Tuesday evening saw the opening of the season of a dance and card entertainment organised by the Daisy Chain social committee, and held in the club rooms. There was a good attendance of members and their friends, and an atmosphere of gaiety prevailed. Dance music was provided by Mr. Clough and party. Musical items were rendered by Mr. Dye, and Mrs. Home gave elocutionary numbers. The Monte Carlo was won by Mrs. Bowshcr and Mr. Parsons, and tlie ppot waltz by Miss Blandford and Mr. Stone. Mrs. Boyce, sen., was the winner of the ladies' lucky number, and Mr. Donaldson won the gentlemen's. The prizes for cards were carried oil by Mrs. Wadsworth and Mr. Yates.
