ORPHANS' CLUB.

The forty-fifth session of the Auckland Orphans' Club was opened on Saturday night in the Lewis Eady Hall. The president, Mr. C. M. Croft, welcomed representatives of the Orphans' Clubs of Hamilton, Thames, Onehunga, Devonport, and Papakura, and also members ot the Consular Corps in Auckland, for whom the dean, Mr. W. F. Boyle, responded. Mr. D. W. Dunlop, the retiring secretary, was presented with a life membership badge.
