BOWLING CLUB SOCIAL.
PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES. A social and dance and presentation of prizes was held by the Mount Albert Bowling Club oil Saturday evening to mark the closing of the summer bowling season. Items were rendered by Miss Le Bhergz. Mrs. Day, and Messrs. Cully, HoldsWortli, Day, and Brodie. Mr. Cully led in community singing.
Trophies won during the season wore presented by the president, Dr. Paterson, as follows: Club champion, Mr. Glenister; junior champion, Mr. L. Kimbet-; handicap singles, Mr. 15. Thomas; champion pair, Messrs. 11. .T. Baker an<l A. M. Keggie. Mr. 11. Brodie, who contested three finals and lost them, was presented with a special trophy. The drawing for the various competitions held on the club's gala day was conducted by the president. The results were as follows: Tablecloth, No. 01; cardigan, 00; suit, 0o2; firewood, 431; silk stockings, 1203; bowls, 717; trophy, 1403; trophy, 572; rooster, 5. A tasty supper was provided by the ladies, after which dancing was indulged in, the music being provided by Mrs. Day and Mr. D. Day.
