RETURNED ARMY SISTERS.

ANNUAL REUNION HELD. Large bowls of autumn flowers and cheery log fires made the lounge of the Auckland Lyceum Club an attractive rendezvous last Saturday afternoon for the annual meeting and reunion of the Returned Army Nursing Sisters' Association. Despite the inclement weather thero was a good gathering.

The president, Miss Mirams, presided, opening the proceedings by referring to the deaths of the late King, also Sister Campbell, the members standing in silence. Miss Mirams then welcomed those present, mentioning specially two new members, Mrs. J. Clayton and Mrs. J. A. West. Scvel'al letters of apology and good wishes were received from members unable to be present. .

The hon. secretary; Mrs. P. J. North, presented the report, which showed that a buSy. and successful year had been experienced. Members had attended the AnzafJ parade, while a social held in October had proved ihost enjoyable. Over iSO had been raised through the individual efforts of members, Mrs. McKenzie being responsible for a large proportion of this sum. Out of this fund grants had been made to the ExService Women's Association and Toe H for their benevolent work, the remainder being used to assist families of needy returned soldiers who names were supplied by the R.S.A., and who had been visited and looked after by the president, secretary or Other members. Miss Mirams reported that the wreath placed 011 the Cenotaph oil Anzac Day, a replica of the sisters' badge, had subsequently been placed by the Museum officials on the Shrine inside tile building.

The election of officers for the year resulted as follows:—President, Miss R. Mirams; lion, secretary and treasurer, Mrs. P. J. North; assistant lion, secretary, Miss I. Hood; executive committee, Mesdames Latchmore, Wicksteed, do Jauriay, Webster, Misses Rudd, C. Cherry, Mandeno, K. Wright and Bird; reporter, Mrs F. Webster; delegates to National Council of Women, Mrs. North aiid Miss Broun. Miss A. Bngley was appointed a life vice-president. Appreciation was expressed of the work done by Miss Mirams and Mrs. North during the past year. Those present were: Miss Mirams, Mesdames North, West (Dargaville), Motion, Mtilcock, Noonan, Page, Reed, Parkinson, Robertson, Ross, Spencer, Aitken (Pukemiro), Warren, McKcnzie, Watson, Webster, McCoinb, Wliitefield, Claytoii, Fielder, Gardner, Gibbons, Jameson, de Jaunay, Misses Bagley, Mandeno, Mcliltyre, Rudd, McDonhld, Smart, Sutherland, Tilly, M. Sutherland, Wright; Edgerlcy, Bird, Bouskill, Broun, Campbell, Cherry, Cliff,, Cunningham, Earley, Evans, Keith, Whitchorn (Wellington), Jaines (Wellington), Keys, Hamilton and Swabey.
