MAN UNCONSCIOUS.
FOUND ON DOORSTEP. HEAD AND FACE WOUNDS. POLICE INVESTIGATING. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent). TAUMARUNUT, this day. With head and face wounds, Cyril D. Henderson; aged IS, who is employed at King's box factory and whose parents live in Auckland, was found yesterday morning lying unconscious on the doorstep of a doctor's residence. His head and hands were smothered in blood. The doctor attended to the man's wounds, which consisted of cuts on the scalp and forehead and bruises on the ear. No bones were broken, and there was money in the man's pockets. After the doctor had informed the police Henderson was removed to hospital, where he regained consciousness. He was unable to give any explanation of how he received his injuries, but the police last evening found bloodstain.-; on the footpath near the house where Henderson boards and almost opposite the doctor's surgery. The police are investigating.
