PRIMARY POLLS.

U.S. PARTY NOMINATIONS,

NEW YORK, April 30.

The primary elections in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts indicate that the Republican voters in those States prefer the candidature of Mr. W. E. Borah, who was not opposed in Pennsylvania, and Mr. A. M. Landon, Governor of Kansas, in Massachusetts, where Mr. Herbert Hoover received only a scattered vote in opposition to him.

President Roosevelt, for the Demo crats, ran well ahead in both States

Mr. Al. Smith and Father C. E. Coughlin received few votes in Massachusetts, and Mr. Henry Brackenridge, of New York, was beaten by a majority of 18 to 1 in Pennsylvania by the President.
