GLUT OF PUMPKINS. RIPE BANANAS PLENTIFUL. There was a fair demand to-day for apples and pears of dessert quality, but poorer grades were not wanted. Cooking apples sold freely. The demand was good for tomatoes and passion fruit, and hothouse grapes were 111 good supply, but the demand was only fair. Tree tomatoes are rather slow of sale. At the present time the market is rather short of oranges, but a fresh supply will bo arriving next Tuesday. The demand for first quality cape gooseberries and lemons is good, and ripe bananas are now more plentiful.
