The total return from Customs duties, motor spirit duty and tyre duty collected at uckland last month was £315,602, as compared with £262,656 in the same month of last year, an increase of £52,916, while beer duty returned £12,385, as against £12,207 in April of last year, and sales tax £69,224, as against £56,035.

Revenue for the first four calendar months of this year is. also higher than it was in the same period of last year, combined Customs, motor spirit tax and tyre duty returning £1,318,610, as against f1,061,325 last year, beer duty £52,956, as against £46,453, and sales tax £253,239, as against £213,045.
