MOTHER LOST AND FOUND.

After a separation of 13 years, a mother and her son met at a Christmas Day dinner; they were guests. Only a chance remark revealed their relation. In 1022 Mrs. Helen Sclineur saw her son —a boy of 17 —off on a boat train for Canada. On Christmas Day, 13 years later, she met a mature man. He was her son. "Ever since I returned to England," Serge Sclineur told a "Sunday Dispatch" correspondent, "I have been looking for my mother. I was almost giving up hope of finding her quickly. Then I was asked out for Christmas dinner. I came, hoping someone might know my mother's address. Among the guests 1 was introduced to a woman. I didn't catch her name—you know, how one does when meeting several people in a room. We went in to have dinner. The lady 1 met was sitting on my right. She was very silent. Often I caught her eyes, looking at me. I could not keep my eyes off her. I also noticed my hostess —whom I had never met before—watching me intently. Finally she said she had not caught my name. I repeated it. Thj lady on my right sat up, startled. It was my mother."
