LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
BENEFIT DONATIONS. A PLAYER SUSPENDED. APPOINTMENT BOARD NOMINEE. At the Auckland Rugby League's executive meeting Inst night, several clubs indicated their intention of donating their percentage of the gate takings at the benefit milch 011 Saturday towards tlio Laird benefit fund. Evidence relative to the ordering oil' of a Richmond player was heard and the chairman (Mr. Grey Campbell) subsequently stated that the player had been suspended for four playing Saturdays. It was slated that the draw for the first scries of matches in the senior competition would he made next Wednesday evening. Mr. L. Bull was nominated the independent representative on tlie Referees' Appointment Board. The West Coast League advised that J. Anderson, tlie South Island forward, had been granted a transfer and would play for the Marist Club. The following registrations were accepted: M. Sinuus (Devonport), A. McGill (Devonport), W. Tittleton (Richmond), G. Tittleton (Richmond), C. J. GliflSgow (Newton), E. A. Morgan (Ponsonby), A. J. Watkins (Mount Albert). 1.. L. Knock was reinstated and registered with Newton. The following transfers were approved : 11. Crook, Newton to Devonport: A. Wicks, Devonport to R.V.; F. R. Halsey, Otaliuhu to Mount. Albert; M. 1 Tucker, Otahuhu to Mount Albert; V. Barcliard, City to Marist.
