FALSE PRETENCE CHARGE.
Arrested by Detective Coddington on a charge of obtaining a motor car valued at £540 from William Stanley Miller, on April 15, by falsely representing that he had won £3000 in Tattersall's and that he had £3000 in the Union Bank of Australia at Te Aroha, Percival Richard Parker, aged 23, appeared before Messrs. Rickerby and King, J.P.'s, in the Police Court this morning. Senior Detective Hall obtained a remand until April 20. Accused, for whom Mr. K. C. Aekins appeared, was allowed bail in £100 and one surety of £100.
