ROWING.
WEST END CLUB.
PRESIDENT'S DAY,
TRIAL FOURS-INTER-CLUB EIGHTS,
To-morrow afternoon the official closing of the West End Rowing Club's season will be marked with the presidents (Mr. A. C. Norden) day and At Home. During the afternoon a set of trial fours will be rowed for trophies donated by Mr. A. C Norden. Sane keen racing should be witnessed as the crews are all m good form. A special attraction is the annual inter-club eight-oar race between, the Auckland and West End Clubs for the goodwill trophy donated by Mr. W. J. Hampton-Reynolds. This contest has aroused a lot of interest between the two clubs, and as Auckland has engaged in a special course of training in the attempt to break West End's unbeaten eight-oar record this season, a keen, hard-fought race can be expected. The committee extends an invitation to all old members and supporters of the club. The first race will bo in the fours.
