fonsonby queen carnival. Over £600 was raised by the Ponsonby queen carnival, which concluded on Thursday night. The money will be shared equally between the Ponsonby Boys' Band, the Ponsonby Swimming Club and the Ponsonby League Football Club. . | _ The band queen. Miss Dorothy Lynne, topped the poll with 00.235 votes, and the swimming queen, Miss Moua Leydon, was second with 57,001. Ihe League queen, Miss Irene Robertson, was third with 41,882 votes. The crowning ceremony will be held in Scots Hall on May 6, when Mr. J. Sayegjh will officiate. gj i , - ••• L .
