REFEREES' ASSOCIATION. The report of the Auckland Rugby League Referees' Association, to be presented at the meeting on Monday, sa.vs that membership flourished during 1035, when the standard of refereeing was well maintained. With the co-ordination of clubs and management. good progress was made, and, thanks to able presidency by Mr. Bull, harmony existed within the ranks. The grading and appointments committee, Messrs. L. Binns, A. Rae and A. Ball, carried out their duties creditably and the association was indebted to tiie executive for its considerable work involving reports and recommendations. The New Zealand Referees' Association was thanked for its valued assistance, as were Messrs. \V. Mincham and P. Thompson, representatives on the Auckland League and junior management respectively. Tho services of the official critic, Mr. T. Hill, were acknowledged and ,Mcssrs. P. Rogers and M. Wetherlll were congratulated upon receiving international badges In connection with the Australian matches. Mr. R. Otto won the Carey Cup for merit and consistency on the field. The association was indebted to Messrs. T. Hill and A. McOowatt. of the examination committee instituted for the first year. After eulogistic reference to Messrs. Ball and McCowatt. the report mentions appreciation of the support and consideration given by the various units of the game.
