MINISTERS' MOVEMENTS.
The Minister of Education, the Hon. I ,P. Fraser, had a busy clay yesterday conferring with the various educational authorities in the city. He discussed with them various aspects for the improvement of the system. His last appointment was with the Mayor, Mr. Ernest Davis, and members of the library committee of the City Council. The Mayor laid before him the city's proposals in respect to the establishment of a fine arts centre on the old Grammar School site at the corner of Symonds Street and Wynyard Street. With Mrs. Fraser he left for Wellington by train last night. The Postmaster-General and Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones, also had a busy dav. In the morning he transacted Departmental business and received a number of deputations. He also visited the works of the Colonial • Ammunition Company at Mount Eden. The Chief Post Office and telephone exchange, Wellesley Street East, were visited by the Minister in the afternoon. In the evening he left by the Limited for Wellington. The Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. W. Lee Martin, left Hamilton for Wellington last night. ' The Minister of Public Works, the Hon. I*.; Seiiiple, is at Invercargill to day. He will afterwards visit Central Otago. He wUI be at Dunedin on Friday and leave or Wellington on Saturday.
