ALMS BOX OPENED.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. For the third or fourth time in a few years an attempt has been made to rob the alms box at the Church of Christ, Whangarei. The discovery was made on Saturday that the lock of the box had been broken open, and also the lock of a box containing music. The intruder found nothing, as the box «s= always kept empty. On all occasions , that attempts have been made to rob the church nothing has been found.
