FAST CARS.

RACES AT MURIWAI BEACH. Keen competition is expected at Muriwai Beach motor races next Saturday, as several evenly matched cars will be competing for a number of cups and trophies which are attached to the meeting. Two cups are competed for aiinually by the motor racing drivers, and the winners at each meeting during the year are allotted points on the following basis, three for first, two for second and one for third. Below are details o:E the cups and the positions of the various ears to date this year:— W. S. Miller-Michelin Championship Cup (points for championship events). — G. Mathieson (Miller Special) 6, Dexter Motors (Riley) 4, Seabrook Fowlds, Ltd. (Austin) 1, T. Cooper, (Essex) 1. H. Robinson Cup' (points for handicap race at each meeting).—A. F. McGruer (Thomas Special) 3, C. Perrie (L.M.C.) 3, Dexter Motors (Riley) 2, T. Cooper (Essex) % Seabrook Fowlds, Ltd., 1. There isalso a handicap event for the H. Moller Cup, at present held by Dexter Motors with the Riley,-and a one mile acceleration trial for the Eden Motor Body Cup, last won by G. A. Mathieson with the Miller. Besides these trophies prizes have been donated to the association for this meeting by Roman and Viscoe, Central Battery Station, W. J. Parlour and Watson, Steele and Ganley, Ltd.
