SOCCER.
COMRADES CLUB. The annual meeting ot the Comrades Association Football Club was well attended and was presided over by the president, Mr. G. C. Ballantyne. Before opening the meeting the chairman invited all present to stand in silence as a token of respect to the deatli of Mr. F. Francis, father of two of the club members. The report stated that the club had entered eleven teams In the various competitions last season and had been successful in winning four trophies. The club had a membership oE 150. A motion of appreciation was placed on record of the good work done by the committee last season. The llnaucial statement produced by the hon. treasurer showed a very satisfactory balance. Election of offlee-bearers :—Patron, Mr. Hallyburton Johnstone; president, Mr. G. C. Ballant.vne; chairman, Mr. A. Dimery; hon. secretary, Mr. S. Curtain; hon. treasurer, Mr. J. Edmonds; club captain, Mr. ■T. Batty; lion, auditor. Mr. E. Marvin; executive committee, Messrs. A. I'age, F. Page. G. Nolan. E. Fearon, H. Dimery, A. McKenzie, E. Marvin : selection committee. Messrs. .T. Batty, E. Fearon, F. Page and the captains of tlie senior, second and third grade teams; vice-preside.nts, the same as last season, with power to add.
W.Y.M.I. CLUB,
The annual meeting of the W.Y.M.I. Football Club, held in the Wesley Hall, Pitt Street, 011 Friday evening, attracted a large attendance of players and supporters.
Officers electcd:—President, Rev. E. T. Olds; club captain, Mr. W. H. Elliott; secretary, Mr. T. H. Ellison; treasurer, Mr. J. Crooks; coach, Mr. A. Wilkins; linesmen, Messrs. N. Grocott, P. Stewart and S. Attwcll; management committee, Messrs. G. O. Riddel], T. Ellison, J. Crooks, W. Elliott and 2s T . Dixon.
The meeting decided to form teams for the 4th, sth, Gth and 7th grades in the A.F.A.
