CRICKET IN NORTHLAND.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANG ARE I, Monday. A thrilling match between Nomads and Old Boys on Saturday resulted iu a draw, 145 runs each. Combined Services received two points from 'Karamea and the position now is that they lead in the Whangarci cricket series with one match to go by two points. It is only if Services get beaten or draw 011 Saturday that the title can go any o tlier way. Nomads 145 (Agnes 30, McKay 33, Badeley 18; Wright four for 40, Given four for 43), tied with Old Boys 145 for nine wickets (Bright 42, Coote 28; Sondberg six for 61). Hikurangi 74 (Eawrie 23, Stone .20; Bnrch four for 36), defeated Oneralii 73 (T. Mason 23; Riddoll six for 43). Combined Services OS (Batten 32, Provan 14), accounted for 'Karamea 41 (Weir tivo for 14). Conditions were bad for the clubs' batting records, the light failing about sis o'clock.
