LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
GREEN LANE CLUB,
About fifty members attended the first annual meeting of the Green Lane Rugby League Club held last evening, with Mr. W. E. Kane presiding.
The annual report mentioned that the senior B team was entered in the latter part of. last season, and wipuld be much stronger in future. For a light team the third grade did well. Pride was taken in the fact that the schoolboys drew with the "Rest" in an exhibition match m the Waikato, 4nd played in one of the curtainraisers to New Zealand v. Australia. The club's financial position was sound. Officers were elected as follows:— Patron, Dr. M. G. Pezaro; president, Mr M Duffin; vice-presidents, same as last year with power to add; committee, Messrs. W. E. Kane,' J. Lawrence, L. Hart, O. Wilson, P. Dunn; hon. secretai-y, Mr A Wilson; hon. treasurer, Mr. M. Duffin; club captain, F.Hulme; senior selector, Mr. D. Bird; junior selector, Mr. J. Silva; auditors, Messrs. W. O. Carlaw and J. Hardwick. , , It was stated that extra grade teams would" be ruinated this season.
